Our Mission:

To provide basic furniture and household goods to economically disadvantaged

individuals and families living in our community.

Founded in 2004, Bridging AZ is the first furniture bank in Arizona. A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides families in need with furniture and household items necessary to create a comfortable home environment.  

A furniture bank is similar to a food bank.  We accept donations of new and gently-used furniture and provide it to families in need.

Our goal is to acquire 5,000 beds over the next five years.  The beds we acquire will be provided to children of economically disadvantaged families who are transitioning out of hardship.

The Bedrace is a community event that supports Bridging AZ and our efforts to provide clean and comfy beds for kids. In the past 10 years Bridging AZ distributed over 250,000 items of furniture and housewares through social service agencies. That’s more than 150 tons of usable furniture and household items.   

Bridging is certified to accept contributions that qualify for the Dollar for Dollar Arizona Charitable Tax Credit, which may reduce your tax bill by $1 for each $1 you donate.  More info at AZTaxCredits.org.
